Nordstrom Anniversary Sale - Keep or Pass

Hey guys! There's only one week remaining of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and I wanted to share with you all of the items that I ordered and if I'm going to keep them or send them back. So many items sell out on the first day and aren't always restocked so when I shop the sale, I usually add anything I'm slightly interested in to my cart and narrow it down before placing an order. Nordstrom also has an outstanding return policy (read more about it in this post) so I order more than I expect to keep so that I can try things on and see what they're like in person.

If you're curious to see what caught my eye this year and if it's going to find a home in my closet, please keep reading!

Vince Cameo Prasata Bootie : I ordered a pair of Vince Camuto booties during the sale last year and I love them, but was hoping to snag something with a shorter heel this year for keeping up with Chase when these beauties caught my eye. I love the detailing and the neutral color! While I'm not sure how cold my ankles might get this winter, but I think I can make it work with a pair of black socks. Also, I initially purchased down a size (7) based on reviews, but have ordered my normal size (7.5) based on what size I bought last year. I think they'll be a better fit for me.

Final Verdict : Keep

Nordstrom Lingerie Moonlight Pajamas : I've heard great things on this pj set for a couple of years so I finally decided to take the plunge! I ordered both a small and medium in this pink color on the first day of early access. It's usually the first color to sell out. I'm wearing a medium in the photo, but decided the small was a better fit. The material is so soft and drapes for a great fit. For my long legged ladies - I usually wear a 33" inseam in non-skinny jeans and these are still a great length!

Final Verdict : Keep

Zella Live In High Waist Leggings : If you haven't heard me talk about my love for these leggings before... hi there and welcome to Seasons of Style! 😂 Seriously though, I cannot get enough of these leggings. I've bought 3 pairs over the last 3 years and still ordered a new pair. I wear them so much during the winter months especially that they usually keep my laundry rotation going. The 3 pairs that I currently own are the mid-rise version (available here) and this is my first pair of the high rise. They do seem to "hold everything in" so I think they're going to be great for the mama tummy, but the mid-rise is great when you're in the earlier postpartum stages.

Final Verdict : Keep

Zella Live In High Waist Leggings : These are the same as the leggings above they're just the burgundy stem color. While I love the black, I'm just not sure how much I'll actually wear the burgundy color, but they are really pretty!

Final Verdict : Pass

Zella Moonlight High Waist Midi Leggings : Based on my love gush above, I ordered both the red chili and black colors of the midi leggings thinking they'd be the same as the live in's just a bit shorter. They have more athletic detailing than the other leggings I have and a different bottom hem that I didn't find as comfortable as my others.

Final Verdict : Pass

Alo Elevate Leggings : I ordered these leggings based on the gorgeous white color and the great reviews that Alo leggings always seem to have. Jarrod was a pretty quick "uh...no" and I couldn't completely disagree with him. They were pretty comfortable and would be a great choice for actually working out, but I don't see that I'll actually wear them much. Plus, the white wasn't nearly as flattering as I thought it might be.

Final Verdict : Pass

Nike Pro Indy Cooling Sports Bra : After hearing great reviews about this sports bra and the $33.90 price tag, I decided to give this a try and I'm so glad I did! The straps are cute, the bra is supportive without being too much, and the v-cut in the front makes it great for wearing with different necklines. This was my most surprising choice of the sale!

Final Verdict : Keep

Nike Dry Tempo Running Shorts : Nike running shorts are loved by so many people and the price during the sale is great ($22.90!) so I added these to my cart. I have a couple pairs from years ago and I do think these are designed better, but I'm just not a big fan of the sewn in lining. Though I will say the photo makes them look much better than I thought they did in person!

 Final Verdict : Pass

BP. Plaid Cotton Blend Shirt : I bought my first BP. plaid last year during the sale because the price was so good and the olive color made me 😍. I fell in love so this was a no-choice addition to my cart. While I wasn't as impressed with the colors this year (starting to think that olive green might just be my favorite color...) I love this red and black plaid. It is going to be so fun to style as the temps cool off and the length this year is perfect.

Final Verdict : Keep

Spanx Faux Leather Leggings : These leggings sell out so quickly each year and so many reviews rave about them so I wanted to give them a try. I get a ton of use from my zella leggings above and thought these might be a "dressier" version. Initially, I was pretty well at  "this just isn't going to work", but for the sake of sharing, I somehow managed to squeeze myself in these so you could see for yourself. These are pretty difficult to wiggle into, which I should've guessed with being Spanx, but after they were on, they we're actually really comfortable. The material was still a bit more than I was looking for in person, but I think they actually look really great in this photo.

Final Verdict : Pass

Shiraleah Lyla Plaid Square Scarf : This brand of scarves sold out within a few hours last year and never came back in stock. I was really hoping to get one so this year, it was one of the first items in my cart. After receiving it, I definitely understand why the reviews are all about the softness, but ultimately this is still a bit too much in a scarf for my taste.

Final Verdict : Pass

BP. Pocket Tee : I think I've bought the black and ivory stripe BP. tee for the last two years so I decided to switch it up this year and order a different color so I picked olive green. I'm not usually much for pockets on tees because the drape doesn't lay quite as well, but I was pleasantly surprised at how well this top fits. The material is on the thinner side, it's a great length, and the v-neck is super flattering. I was hoping to love this top and I definitely wasn't disappointed. For $18, this top is a steal and a definite recommend!

Final Verdict : Keep

Pleione Double Ruffle Sleeve Blouse : I was so excited to receive this top! I love a great white top and the sleeves on this one are so cute. The material is fairly stiff straight out of the box, but I think with wear the main body of the top would loosen up. For all of my ladies looking for business professional/casual dress, this top would be great for the warmer time of year when you'd like to skip a longer sleeve. While I had high hopes for this top and think it's cute, I'm not sure that I'll have many chances to wear it.

Final Verdict : Pass

Thank you so much for sticking with me through this post - I know it's a long one! Happy shopping during this last week of the sale and I can't wait to talk to you again soon!

xo, h.
