Nordstrom Anniversary Sale - Best of Beauty

Happy Friday! I'm sure you're getting overloaded with info about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, but it's really good this year and it's a great time to save on items that you continue to repurchase because they're just that good. With that in mind, I've rounded up of some of my favorite beauty buys. While there are a few items that are exclusive to the sale, a lot of what you'll find in the beauty section are great products in a value size or set. If there's something you find yourself using repeatedly (here's to looking at you BeautyBlender!) now is a great time to grab it to save yourself from paying full price later. While the beauty products do seem to stay in stock a little longer than other categories like women's clothing, there is always a chance that something you want might be gone before you get a chance to add it to your cart. If there's something that you think you'd like, I'd go ahead and buy it now because you can always return it later thanks to Nordstrom's incredible return policy.

I've shared some of my favorite things below that are included in the beauty buys of this year's Anniversary Sale. Keep reading below for more details about each item and why I think it's worth the buy!

Laura Gellar's highlighter is a product that I haven't gotten a chance to try yet, but I've heard that it's got a stunning glow without being too over the top. Plus, it has to be good if they make it in a super size, right?

The Ahava lotion products are so incredibly lightweight, but are still so moisturizing. It's not a lotion that I use all over, but this has been a favorite of mine for years for keeping my hands soft without the sticky during the winter months.

MAC makeup brushes are a great purchase during the Anniversary Sale. I have a few brushes from MAC Cosmetics and they are really great quality. Right now you're getting a bundle discount and a sale discount so the price per brush is really great.

Also a great steal - the MAC lip kits. I love how they combine a lipstick and lip gloss in a coordinating color and at less than $20 for the little kit or less than $40 for the larger kit, this is one that will definitely sell out quick.

MAC is known for their high quality eye shadows and these Nordy Girl palettes are a great mix of metallic or matte neutrals. Personally, I think you'll probably get more wear from the matte palette than the metallic but they both feature wearable shades.

I may not have done a sunless tanning post yet, but I've tried so many over the years. This one is hands down one of the best I've used and the size is so good for the price. I bet you could probably use this all summer long before you'd run out even with applying on the regular.

The two Stila kits are usually included in the sale each year and are some of the first beauty items to sell out because the price is so good. The liquid eyeshadows are stunning in person if you like an intense glitter eye color. They're perfect for a night out! the liquid liner is rated one of the best as well as the liquid lipstick. I've been using this liner for a few months now and really like how thin the brush tip is. The liquid lipstick is a great color that will last for a few hours without fading, but it can be a bit drying on the lips. All in all - these are both great buys for the price.

The blushes from Hourglass are so flattering on the skin and the palette offers a wide range of options with three distinct colors. By "swirling" in some of the famed ambient lighting powder, these blushes will truly give you a glowing "lit from within" look.

I've included the two Dior lip kits because of how much I love the Glow Lip. I have both the original pink shade and the coral and wear both quite a bit. They're a great choice for accentuating your natural lip color without wearing a full coverage lipstick. Even though these are a bit pricier since they're Dior, this is a good value considering what all comes in the kit.

Generally I'm not too set on one single brand for a type of beauty product, but when it comes to brows, Anastasia Beverly Hills can't be beat. I have used up so many of the brow wiz pencils and love using the brow gel to keep my brow hairs in place.

I tend to buy new Beauty Blenders during this sale because it's a great reminder for me to toss my current one and they're a great price. This year's bundle includes silicone cases for taking your sponge on the go. This is a set that usually sells out pretty quickly, too, so I wouldn't wait too long if you're interested.

I just purchased this styling wand a few weeks ago and have only used it a handful of times so I haven't done a full review yet, but so far I'm really impressed with how well my curls seem to hold after I use it even in the insane humid weather we've had the last couple of months in Missouri. This set is the same price as buying the wand on it's own so it's like you're getting all of the other products for free. Great buy!

When this year's sale catalog came out this Charlotte Tilbury was the first thing I added to my "must get" list. I haven't found a contour kit that has won me over yet, but with this palette offering two contour shades, two highlight shades and two blushes with the quality of Charlotte Tilbury products, I'm so excited to give this palette a try. Also a heads up, I've heard quite a few people say they wanted this palette too so I wouldn't wait long if you'd like to have it.

The Foreo cleansing device has been in the sale in year's past, but this year you get an extra mini Foreo Luna with the purchase of the rechargeable size. It's the perfect option for travel! I've tested the cleanser in store before and it's definitely on my list for when my Clarisonic dies. The silicone "brush head" means that it's always sanitary and doesn't need to be replaced, plus the battery is supposed to last like 6 months even with daily use.

These next two products are definitely expensive, but if you're considering them, they are both heavily discounted. I have a Trial laser hair remover from a few years ago and I think this might be the best price I've ever seen on one. I haven't had my hair growth completely stop, but it has been significantly decreased even without continual use from pregnancy and nursing breaks. This Simple Human mirror has great reviews. I don't own one, but it has definitely caught my eye a few times. The lighting can be adjusted to reflect whatever environment you'll be in so that you can apply your makeup accordingly. It's a great way to have impressive office lighting makeup and rock a night out look as well.

That wraps up my favorites from the beauty department in this year's Anniversary Sale. Thanks so much for reading this long post, but I hope this info has been helpful.

I can't wait to hear what product you're getting from the sale this year!

xo,
Hannah
