Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018 - Coming Soon!

Ah! You guys it's one of my favorite times of year - the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is almost here! Just a few years ago I didn't know anything about this event, but since then it's been something I look forward to every July. 

Usually sales feature end of season items that are still in inventory at a reduced rate to help move products. I love this sale because it marks down the price of brand new items for the upcoming fall season up to 40% off! This is a good time to add a few new seasonal items or to find a timeless investment piece at an incredible price. All kinds of great deals are included from women's, men's, and children's clothing, home goods, baby gear, and accessories. You can see a preview of some items included in this year's sale here. 

This sale is open to everyone (yay!), but you can access the sale at different times. Level 4 Nordstrom cardholders can access the sale in store only starting on July 11. Early Access begins the next morning on July 12 in store and online at 2AM CST for all Nordstrom cardholders. Public Access is when the sale opens for everyone on July 20 with prices going back up on August 6. 

If you're interested in purchasing during the sale, I'd highly recommend applying for a Nordstrom card so that you can shop the sale during early access. In years past, all items included in the sale were restocked when public access began, but that wasn't the case last year so things that have a high sell out risk may not be available again if you happen to miss it. There were even a few items that sold out within hours last year! Another bonus - Nordstrom is currently offering new cardholders $40 in Nordstrom Notes if you make a purchase the day you're approved which is like getting $40 extra dollars to spend on anything you'd like in the store. 

While the Anniversary Sale is a great opportunity, it's also important to be realistic about your personal budget and what "wants" you can truly afford. There are lots of great discounts and so many fun things that you could buy, but it's important to be realistic about your situation and not go into debt to purchase something that isn't actually necessary.
