November Beauty Favorites

The end of November totally snuck up on me! It catches me every year, but somehow once the week of Thanksgiving is here, time magically skips through the first two weeks of December. During the month, I went back through a lot of products that I'd used before, but somehow had switched to other things and recently fell back in love with. On the blog, you'll see some of my boldest makeup looks, but most days I stick with the basics and this month I'm sharing some of my go-to's for a quick and natural look.

The Sigma F20 Large Powder Brush is such a great brush! It's super fluffy and soft. I love using it to blend out all of my face makeup and occasionally will use it to dust my cheeks with bronzer. It's not one that I would use for applying much product, but it is so great for blending everything and that's exactly what I've been using it for this month.

When I first purchased the Sigma F40 Large Angled Brush, I really wasn't sure about it. I'd heard reviews that it worked so well for blush and I originally ordered it because I thought it'd pick up a light amount of product and the angle would be ideal for contouring. It's taken me some time to figure out how I like to use it best, but now it is one of my all-time favorite brushes! You can see my the color that I'm currently using it for bronzer (keep reading below to see which one!) but I also love it for blush too!

The Sigma E25. If there was only one brush I could use to do an entire eye look, this one is it hands down. Earlier in the month, I'd heard someone else say that they had smaller eye lids (🙋) they used this brush for their crease shades and -whoa- game-changer! I know I've tried this countless times before, but for whatever reason, this month I fell in love.

Any of my Sephora fans know that this is the time of year when the store gives you $XX off a purchase of $50 or more. I use this to try out products that I typically just can't justify the money on. For example, chapstick. Who really wants to spend $24 on a tube of chapstick? The reviews on this product line are consistently high and so many will say that once you try it, you'll get it. I have to admit they're kind of right and that I do like Fresh's Sugar Lip Treatment. You all know that I love my Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask, but this is a great option for on the go. I tend to apply other drugstore chapsticks a few times a day, but this one lasts a lot longer on and I think it actually does help dry lips better.

My weakness when it comes to beauty products is definitely bronzer. I've tried so many different ones, but this one from Hourglass is my tried and true. The ambient lighting bronzer has great tones in it to create a soft, natural looking bronze with the ambient lighting effect to give you a lit-from-within glow. It's great for dusting along the cheekbones and somehow still works for contouring even with the subtle sheen. I've used this product many times before (but you can't tell from looking at it - this stuff lasts forever!) but recently started using it again and I love the look it gives.

I wanted to share this CC Cream from IT Cosmetics because it's a product that you all never see me wear in photos, but this is the "foundation" that I wear on a day to day basis. I wore this all summer long and put it away as the weather cooled off and I brought out some of my more matte foundations, but this past month I brought it back because it's just that good. I can't tell you how many BB, CC, DD, double lettered creams that I tried when this trend first started and this is the only one that gives me the kind of coverage that I want while still looking natural. With SPF 50+, what more could you ask for? (Unless it's also illumination, which yes, they do make that and it's pretty spectacular, too!)

You all have seen me use this mascara in a few of my makeup looks. I tend to go back and forth on Le Volume de Chanel, but this month, I used it more than any other mascara. I absolutely love the dramatic lash effect that it gives and the plastic wand is definitely my favorite style. The only drawback for me is that it takes so long to dry and I can have trouble with clumps if I'm not careful. I like this mascara best after adding a few eye drops to keep the formula a little thinner for my long, fine lashes.

Please share what you were loving this past month and thanks for stopping by!
